I haven't blogged for awhile, not about recent life anyway. The reasoning there is that I haven't been feeling particularly well lately, which causes me to toss and turn at night, which leads to me being cranky and whiny. To avoid everyone having to endure a cranky, whiny post, I have stayed silent. Well, online silent, Danny has definitely heard my whining, but he is nice about it. (Or puts on his headphones and plays the guitar, one of the two.) So here is some stuff that has happened lately. I'm not promising super exciting stuff, just stuff.
- One evening, I was particularly not feeling that great and in the mood described above. Danny, in his brilliance, suggested we watched a Coldplay concert that was on Netflix, telling me it would make me feel better. Guess what, it actually did make feel better! Thanks Coldplay and Danny. I particularly enjoyed and giggled a little at all of their English expressions. That always makes me so happy and a bit England homesick.
- On Sunday, Danny and I had to give talks in sacrament meeting. I think it went well. I spoke on the purpose of the testimony and Danny spoke on the power of the word of God. Afterwards, multiple people told us good job and in the same breath said our talks made them feel guilty. That was not my intent, nor Danny's. I wanted to tell them they brought that upon themselves, but that would probably contribute to more guilt. Side note, work, as per usual, has been insanely busy, causing me to be a little nervous of when I would have time to figure out a talk. I let the idea incubate in my mind for a couple of days. Then on Friday morning, I woke up with the whole talk in my head. Scriptures and everything. I felt rather blessed and relieved..
- On Sunday, my sister Noelle was really nice and had us over for dinner. I got to see the baby! Plus, food, company and after dinner games were all enjoyable. I sure like that family of mine. (What I do not like is one of us in the car being a recipient of a speeding ticket on the way home, sigh.)
- This week is the first week it is actually starting to feel like spring here in the tundra of Utah. I've switched to my lighter coat and even painted my toe nails green in preparation for flip flops and St. Patty's Day
- With the weather warming up, I also have a few adventures in the process of being planned. I'm excited. Danny and I will get to cross a few more national parks off our list if everything comes together as I hope. Here's to hoping!
Colorado National Parks???
