All Things Fall

I had the intention on posting these autumn occurrences as they, well, occurred, but as we can see, that didn't happen. So instead, this is your crunchy leaves/pumpkin pie/candy corn-rolled-up-into-a-ball-and-thrown-in-your-face type of post. Enjoy. Also, warning, if you hate lots of pictures of nature and a cute, little baby in different scenarios, you will hate this post. Might I add, if you hate pictures of nature and cute, little babies, what is wrong with you?

Alpine Loop
When Danny's mom was in town, we went on a drive on the Alpine Loop. The leaves were just starting to change. It was a nice way to welcome Fall.

How I love the mountains.

My love and me.

A fall foot shot was necessarily.

Pretty leaves.

We went on a quick jaunt up a trail while Danny's mom watched the baby.

The baby slept on.

Mountain roads.

Autumn Trees.

A cute picture of Danny and his mom.

The Pumpkin Patch!
We went to our neighborhood pumpkin patch and picked out a couple of pumpkins to carve. (Which we never got around to carving but instead they decomposed and melted on our porch.) However, we had a great time at the pumpkin patch.

The family photo. Baby H is checking out the newest additions, two
scarecrows, which it appears we adopted.

Me and my baby.

That one time Baby H's weird parents thought it would be cute to take a
picture of him sitting on a pumpkin.

He was not amused.

And another family photo.
Autumn Stroll
Baby and I used to take walks to the park when the weather was warmer. On one particular day, the trees looked rather pretty, so I snapped a few photos.

Sunlight through the trees.

Baby!

At the park.

Yellow and blue.

Cascade Springs
I met up with my wonderful friends and past roommates Rachel and Melissa to visit Cascade Springs up by Midway. We missed the peak of the changing leaves there, but it was still really pretty. We all had a baby 6 months or under, so that was an adventure in and of itself. I think we were in the parking lot for about 45 min, because each kiddo had to be fed and changed. However, we eventually got down to the springs and looked like the baby brigade with our strollers and infants. I wouldn't have it any other way.

Me and Rachel with our babykins.

The amazing Melissa and Rachel, each with their cute baby girls.

We found some fall foliage, so Melissa and I had to get a picture by it.

Hanging out on the bridge.

Pretty.

More prettiness.

to chaperon.

4th Anniversary!
In years past, Danny and I have always gone on a trip to celebrate our wedding anniversary. This year our celebrating was a little different, since we had Little Baby with us. We went on a walk around the Draper Temple (where we were married) and then got take-out from Texas Roadhouse (love their rolls) and watched Netflix. Danny also got me flowers and donuts, a few of my favorite things.

The Draper Temple.

My honey and me and proof that I did my hair for such
an occasion.

Baby H was celebrating too.

Shouldn't this be an Ensign cover? A baby smiling with the temple, can it
get better than that? I think not.
Neighborhood Halloween Carnival
Our neighborhood had a cute Halloween carnival at the park with trick-or-treating for the kids. I invited some family members to enjoy the trick-or-treating, because Baby H was too young to do so.

The cutest little jack-o-lantern I've ever seen.

Halloween in St. George
Danny had a business trip in Vegas, so Baby H and I tagged along for the ride and had him drop us off on the way down at my sister Michele's house. We had a lot of fun with Dan, Michele and Princess C. Plus, their neighborhood knows how to party when it comes to Halloween.

Princess C LOVED Baby H.

Cute Cousins.

Princess C figured out this trick-or-treating business
pretty quickly.

What a cute family.

Pie Day with Danny's Family
The weekend before Thanksgiving, we got together with a few of Danny's siblings and their kids and had a little pre-Thanksgiving celebration with pie, lots of pie! It was delicious.

Baby H enjoying all the attention from his aunts and cousins.

Gathering together for pie.

The spread, mmmm.

Taste testing.

Miss E and Lady Lu were so cute, they made hand turkeys as decorations
and put them all over the kitchen for the party.

All good parties end with playing with Legos.

Baby H talking with his cousin JM.

Happy Thanksgiving!
We celebrated Thanksgiving at my parents' house. Good food and great company!

Baby H and his grandma.

We had a delicious dinner, but it is the pies that I
always take pictures of, because seriously, these
are beautiful.

Hanging out with the family after dinner.

The kids and Mark watching "Elf" after dinner.

Dr. C, Baby H and Katie. Dr. C was so cute with Baby H and was so happy
to hold him.

  1. I know you quit your job, but still, don't you know enough people that you could make that Ensign cover with Baby H and the temple happen?
Love the picture of Lady E meeting Baby H. And all of those pies! I wish I could taste them.

Oh Crafty Trees, Oh Crafty Trees...

I've become a finals widow, if you will, meaning Danny is crazy busy trying to finish up the semester.  This has given me extra time to use my crafty skills to get our place Christmas ready.  My first creations were these little paper/foam trees.  I've seen a few variations online of this craft. I put my own little twist on it.  They are really easy to make, just takes some time. Here is what you need: Scrap paper Hot glue gun 1" Circle punch Foam cone (at most craft stores) Toothpicks Note:  You are going to go to the craft store to buy the little foam cone and you will see styrofoam glue and you will think to yourself that would be a good thing to buy for this project.  Don't!  I got the styrofoam glue and it didn't work at all.  Just go with your trusty glue gun, it won't let you down. I think it's pretty self-explanatory by looking at the picture.  You just punch circles out from the scrap paper.  Then hot glue th...

The End of the Road

There is a time when things fulfill their purpose and that is how I've been feeling with this blog of mine. When I started it, I needed my own little spot to share my thoughts and random stuff I found online. However, having two blogs has become excessive. It has been a good run (me and this little blog) and thanks for joining me. For now on, I will just be posting on my family blog . It's a private blog, but send me a message or a request if you would like to view it. Thanks to those who have taken the time to read my silly thoughts or look at pictures of my cute kiddo or some craft I made. It means a lot to me. Signing off, Jannifer

The Christmas Box

Remember how forever ago I said I would post a tutorial on how to fold these cute boxes.  Sigh, life is busy.  But I am here to fulfill my promise, even if it is a bit belated.  We had a Super Saturday at church with classes we could take.  My awesome friend, Becky, taught us how to create these, so I give her all the credit. What you need, paper, scissors, ruler pencil and some type of adhesive. 1.On the blank side of your paper draw an X from each corner, using a ruler. 2. Fold the bottom corner to the  center. 3. Fold the bottom corner one more  time up to the center. 4. Now you are  going to do the exact  two folds from steps 2 and 3 to the  opposing top corner, so your  paper will look like this. 5.  Unfold your paper and make the same folds to left and right corners that haven't been folded yet.  So once again, fold the point to the middle. 6.  Do a second fold to th...
