- This past week was Melina's birthday! Since she lives far away, Talena and I put together a hula party in a box and mailed it to her. We found all of these treasures at the dollar section at the front of Target. My favorite moment was when we heard a lady gripe about how the discount section was full of a bunch of useless stuff that no one would buy. At that very moment we turned the corner, with our hand basket full of awesome stuff we had found. We just smiled.
- I was having a bit of a low evening and Danny suggested we go get my latest craving Sonic blasts. (Ice cream + candy + whipped cream.) I know you aren't supposed to feed sorrows with food, but this particular evening I made an exception. Whoever made that Sonic blast was heaven sent. It had more Reese's peanut butter cups than actual ice cream. It's like they sensed my heavy heart and tried to heal it with chocolate and peanut butter. And that they did. Bless that Sonic worker, whoever they may be.
- We had a video chat with Danny's brother Nathan and his family. Our oldest niece Maestro L is learning how to the play the piano (and doing a great job, might I add). She mentioned she knew how to play the blues so she and Danny decided to have a jam session over the web. Nathan just emailed us the video he took of it. Check it out, they make quite the jam buddies, very cool.
- Last night we had the pleasure of watching my nephews Ry-guy and Dr. C We had such a blast playing with nerf guns, watching movies and eating cookies. Those two are the epitome of adorable.
- So I know pretty much everyone has seen this wedding proposal video by now, since it is all over facebook. However, I watched it yesterday (three times) and every time I get all teary. So cute.

Ry-guy figured out he could fit inside our footrest, so funny. Also notice how we pulled out every toy we own to entertain the kiddos. |
Dr. C telling me to "stick 'em up!" |
Getting ready to watch Cars. Ry got a little help from Danny who moved his "seat" up on the table so he could see the TV. |
Dr. C and me building cities and roads with the Carcassonne game tiles. |
Holy Crap. I love that proposal. I even teared up.

ReplyDeleteI am glad you were able to show that lady in Target how to have fun. It was so fun to chat with you guys. I am sorry it got cut short by the disappearance of the dog. I had wanted to chat with you guys to see how you liked the end of Sherlock.
ReplyDeleteErin, we need to discuss Sherlock soon!! And glad you found the dog. :)
DeleteWell I was bawling during my lunch break. Thanks for sharing, for those of us who don't catch things the first time around!
ReplyDeleteYour picture of Chase looks just like Tim when he was that age! I am amazed!
ReplyDeleteDo you need more toys? I'll keep that in mind for the next birthday.
